Clearing Guidelines

Before any documentation can be processed, we need to have a completed clearing instruction.

Invoices and documentation must be in English.

Submit acquittals before the dead line, or where extensions have been granted, copy of extension letter forwarded to us, to avoid penalties.

Where no clear description (sku, product code, etc.) please provide clear description of the product.

Documents must be sent in an un-editable format (PDF or other).

Access to contact person (in case of any queries).

Invoices sent well in advance, just so queries can be resolved in time (should there be any).

Please make sure invoices carry a physical address as post office box address are no longer acceptable.

Please see that all invoices display exporters code, or indicated on a clearing instruction.

Please make sure drivers have original invoices and all necessary permits where applicable.

Please keep your BURS account updated, if it's not paid on time or unpaid, the account will be suspended which will cause delays. (For imports in to Botswana).
